*Everyone is like a butterfly, they start out ugly and awkward and then

  metamorph into beautiful graceful butterflies that everyone loves*

 

*I no longer have the fear of being alone, because I am alone, and it's not

  scary. It’s cool to find out that you don't need a boyfriend to be happy*

 

*A person's looks are never going to make you love them or like them*

 

*Love is the hardest habit to break and the most difficult to satisfy*

*I keep a ton of things on my bulletin board so I can look at them and take

*If I die before my cat, I want a little of my ashes put in his food so I can

*Hollywod is my soul-calling, but Hollywood is not a universal entity-

  it is mortally created. Animals & children & women & men are what's

*I'm at a place in my life where I'm much more focused on healing and

  spirituality because I'm so dedicated to my work*

 

*It wasn't about being sober and cleaning up, it was about learning how to

  live*

 

*When things are perfect, that's when you need to worry most*

 

*I pray to be like the ocean, with soft currents, maybe waves at times.

 More and more, I want the consistency rather than the highs and lows*

*I love macaroni & cheese... It gives you cellulite. It sticks to your intestines

  and makes you constipated, but I love it and I'd never give it up*

 

*Walk away respecting individuality, kiss it off because kisses, even to the

  air, are beautiful* 

 

*I’ve never been a get up, drink coffee, read the paper kind of girl. I try to

  stay in bed for at least 10 minutes to ponder my place in the universe. Then

  I wash my face, check my karma and get my balance for the day. Then I

  can go out into the universe with a positive attitude*

 

*I don't know anybody's road who's been paved perfectly for them, there are

  no manuals, you don’t know what life has in store for you*

1. Flossie and Templeton:

"I rescued Flossie and Templeton when they were puppies. I was at the flea market, and this guy had a box of puppies he was trying to give away. They mean just everything to me."

 

2. e.e. cummings:

"I tend to go for really drunk, screwed-up writers. But my favourite poet is e.e. cummings. Oh, if only I could find a man who could talk like e.e. cummings."

 

3. Iced Tea:

"My business partner, Nancy, thinks iced tea is a compulsion. She says everything has to be icy, more ice than liquid. And that I leave cups all over the office."

 

4. Pocket Yahtzee:

"We started playing Pocket Yahtzee on the set of Never Been Kissed, and it became an obsession, a very competitive thing."

 

5. Mermaid Shirt:

"This [mermaid] is a drawing by Lane Smith that went on a T-shirt for Planet Hollywood. The proceeds from the T-shirt go to charity. The mermaid was my concept."

 

6. Delux Nail Polish:

"My good friend Jillian Fink has a nail polish line called Delux and it is really the only polish I wear. I also always carry baby wipes to refresh with."

 

7. Map of Hawaii:

"When I'm ready to freak out, I look at this map of Hawaii and think, I gotta get back there. I try to get out of Hollywood as often as I can."
